    Thanks

Looks like a leather that has been dyed.

    Eric,

I am almost sure that was a lobophytum leather that was dyed bright yellow. It has been a few years since I have seen dyed corals, but they seem to pop up from time to time. I have also seen them bright pink. Once you have seen the artificial color, it kind of jumps out at you. It looks a little too much like a highlighter marker! The color is just too uniform and too intense to be natural.

In any case, they typically don't survive long, and the ones that do usually eventually revert to natural tan/brown color.

It's an easy thing to miss, especially the first time you see it, so don't feel bad about it. I just wanted to post more info to hopefully save someone else the same hassle in the future.

    Really?

I purchased that @ Wet Pets in cannonsburg.

I can't imagine them selling something like that.

Dyed corals are huge in japan, along with anemones.
