View Full Version : PMASI Picnic - June 18th

05-18-2011, 09:55 AM
Date: Saturday, June 18th
Time: Come anytime after 3:00pm, dinner at 5:00ish, til ???
Where: Adam's house in Cranberry Township.

PMASI will supply meat for the main course, soft drinks and paper products. You are welcome to BYOB, but please plan on drinking responsibly. We also ask everyone to bring a side dish or dessert. Please respond in this thread to RSVP and let everyone know what you are bringing so we don't duplicate.

Adam will be firing up the smoker to make some classic BBQ! The menu will include ribs, pulled pork, brisket, chicken and hot dogs for kids. There may also be a surprise or two!

Surprise #1 (added 6/9) Home made french fries. If you like fries from Primantis, the "dirty O" or the Potato Patch at Kennywood, mine are better. With all due humility of course. :-)

To get to Adam's house, take 79 or the turnpike to Cranberry Township. Take route 19 north. When you see the flashing yellow light at the Cranberry Volunteer Fire Department, start looking for the fish balloons on the mailbox on the left. Adam's house is all the way in the back.

Please NOTE this is a members only, but anyone is welcome to join right up to the day of the picnic.

Don't forget that your PMASI membership as well as this invitation are household. Spouses, significant others and children are welcome. There will be limited things for the kid's to do, but plenty of space, so feel free to bring games, toys, etc. There will be a volleyball net, bocce balls and horse shoes. The picnic will be rain or shine. If it rains, we will hang out under a tent!

Please see post #2 on page #1 of this thread. It is the running list of who is attending and what they are bringing.

Many thanks to Adam for hosting, and thanks to everyone who brought something, and to everyone who participated! I had a great time.

06-20-2011, 04:42 PM
Hi everyone!

Thanks to everyone who made it to the picnic and helped make it such a great time. All of the side dishes and desserts garnered lots of kudos! Deep fried, bacon wrapped tater-tots may be my new favorite food! I have a few serving dishes that were left. I will bring them to the next meeting.

Extra thanks go to Bill, Sam and Sharon for coming early to help set up and to Bill, Kimberly, Steve and Scott for helping with clean up. It really helped lighten the load. Most of all, to Lauren for all she did and for tolerating such shenanigans at our house to begin with.
