PMASI annual Picnic

YOU MUST RSVP

Join us for the PMASI annual picnic on Saturday July 17th at our house! The club will be providing the main dish, drinks and bread. We will be serving roast beef and turkey cooked on the Rotisserie and hot dogs for the kids.

Please bring a side dish or a dessert of your choice. We can plug in a couple of crock pots, but please do NOT bring dishes that need to be cooked. Oven space is limited.

When you RSVP, please list what you will be bringing and be specific! The picnic will be BYOB if you would like alcoholic beverages.

There will be cornhole, horseshoes and other yard games. We have a fire pit and a big fenced in yard so that we don’t have to worry about kids playing in traffic.

Pre-Picnic Tank Tour
Bob Nell will be having an open house before the picnic.
Time: 2:00 to 3:45
General directions: 5 minutes from Carnegie exit of Rt79 or Parkway. About 10 minutes from Bill’s house.

Bob Snowden from the PPG Aquarium will be speaking about biological cleaners like cleaner wrasses, neon gobies and cleaner shrimp. Bob recently wrote a paper about cleaner shrimp behavior and will be sharing the information from the paper.

C-SEA Coral Swap – April 10th

PMASI Members,

The Cleveland Saltwater Enthusiasts Association (C-SEA) is hosting
their 17th Annual swap on Saturday, April 10th from 11am till 3pm.
Every year members from PMASI get together and carpool to Clevelands
swap. This year we plan on meeting Saturday morning around 9am in the
parking lot next to Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and Kings Family Restaurant
in Cranberry Township. You can find more information about the swap

PMASI Meeting Saturday March 20, 2010

This month’s meeting is at the PPG Aquarium at the Pittsburgh Zoo. There will be a brief talk from the Aquarium staff followed by a behind the scenes tour. This is a member’s only meeting, but you may join at the meeting. Children and family members are welcome. Pizza and soft drinks will be provided.

Once again, we will be raffling the chance to pet a shark! This is a very special opportunity! Raffle tickets will be the customary $1 each. There will not be any other raffle. Please do not bring livestock into the Zoo grounds, it is a violation of AZA policy. If you have livestock trades arranged, please conduct them in the parking lot and bring heat packs if necessary. Livestock must be left in your car.

Please arrive to the main entrance of the Zoo no later than 5:30. At 5:30, we will proceed as a group to the aquarium building. If you arrive late, there is a chance that you won’t be able to get in.
